3+1 more is 4

That's right, folks! We are having a baby sometime in April and we will be a family of 4. All Glory be to God, He has answered our prayers. I am so excited, with my all day sickness and all. I did have a quick trip to the ER for some fluids due to some pretty bad dehydration. I could not keep any food down for 4 days. The docs gave me the fluid and some pretty nice meds. Yay! I will keep you posted in between my many naps. I can't seem to get enough lately. Adam has been a trooper. He has taken care of Bryson and me for weeks. For that I am thankful!

Hi Holly!
I'm new to the blogging world and saw your comment over at Rocks In My Dryer about potty training. So, I have a 23 month-old girl who is starting this week, but here's my take for what it's worth, based on a minor in child development, plus my daughter being lots younger than a lot of friends. Again, for what it's worth.
Try the big boy bed first. If he adjusts just fine, great! Then move. He may take the two together and feel even more like a big boy. Yay! If not, try everything you can to keep him in the big boy bed; bringing out the crib will be confusing. You might want to try a brand new nightlight at the new house, new music to fall asleep by, a longer bedtime routine to wind him down. I even saw a tip that worked great for my daughter: try going to bed a little bit later to make him more tired by the time he lands in bed. It takes away from your precious evening, but you can always inch you way back to the original time once he's comfortable with the new house and new bed.
Everything I've seen says that potty training takes anywhere from a day or two to a couple months, so I'd leave that one alone until he's good and settled, and not stress if you can't tackle it until after the baby's born and people are sleeping again. In fact, a friend tried this with her 2yr5mo son and it worked great.
I wish you the best no matter what you do!
